Homer Spit View Cabins - The Log Cabin

Great multi generational family stay in Homer Positive: Fabulous views from the deck of this lovely home! House is nicer and larger than it appears in the listing. 3 bedrooms + 2 living areas. 1 bedroom on first floor with king bed, 1 bedroom on 2nd floor with queen bed and private balcony, 2nd bedroom upstairs had multiple beds and makes a fun children's room. Room darkening curtains for every window. House was very clean. We appreciated the coffee beans with coffee grinder; as well as some pantry staples. Two parking places right at the cabin, very convenient to town. Owner greeted us upon arrival. Negative: There was only one short drinking glass! Dining table was cool, but small. There was a large bar with multiple stools, but if you want to have a large family dinner at one table, you will be sad.

We spent our 20th wedding anniversary in Homer and at the Spit View Cabin. Very much appreciate everything about it. Sheila and Todd were very helpful in providing information about Homer and where I could obtain flowers, and even offered to pick them up and deliver to the cabin. The cabin was even nicer than depicted on the listing. It was more luxurious than a typical "cabin" experience, and moreover, everything was very modern and worked perfectly. Not only were there great views of the Spit, it boasts great views of the entire Homer waterfront and the associated mountains behind it. We have been spending almost two months in our Airstream driving the Alaska Highway and hitting all the good stops that Alaska has to offer, so this was a nice opportunity to spend some time in something with a little more square footage than a camper! Thanks so much for making this an unforgettable experience.
